When I first began my journey in the beauty industry, I had no idea where my focus would land but somehow, I was lucky enough to find more than one area that I’m passionate about. My first love has always been color; whether it’s a lived-in sun-kissed balayage, a sleek brunette with clean lines, or a rainbow unicorn creation that Lisa Frank herself would admire, I love it all. When I was first starting out, I apprenticed under Lissette Cruz, a master colorist and creative mind with Pravana. Her knowledge of all things color allowed me to venture into my career with a strong foundation.  

While working with Lissette I was introduced to Simone Moreira – the owner of a highly reputable hair and makeup company who was looking for an assistant. To be honest, bridal was never something I’d really considered doing, however, once I started to assist Simone on weddings, I was immediately taken in and quickly fell in love with the energy and warmth that comes along with someone’s wedding day. My passion for bridal work flourished and I knew that this was the beginning of something special. To date, I’ve had the pleasure of working with 300+ brides in creating looks that will stand the test of time. Seeing the ear-to-ear smile when a first-time bride sees herself in the mirror will always give me butterflies and makes every wedding experience feel new and exciting. 

It’s amazing when you find a career that gives you the ability to make others feel good about themselves; I love being able to not only transform someone on the outside but also help them gain confidence. I feel truly blessed to be able to wake up every day and have so much gratitude for being able to find a career that I love so much, and even more blessed to have such a strong support system to come home to every night. 

At the end of the day, this industry never stops growing and evolving and I’m committed to growing with it. I’m consistently working on perfecting my craft and staying up to date with the newest trends and techniques. I take multiple classes every year to make sure I’m always able to provide my guests with the best service I’m able to. After all, hair is the crown you never take off.
